My Menopause Journey

 

In 2020, my life changed overnight when I had my ovaries removed and hit the menopause at 41! The care I received from the NHS was, quite honestly, inadequate and unsafe. My HRT prescriptions were repeatedly denied, because of my age, with the words, “You don’t need it.” But I did — desperately.

Within weeks, my mental and physical health spiraled. Things got so bad, my husband had to call an ambulance and the police. I genuinely thought I was going to be sectioned. Out of sheer desperation, I turned to private care. It took six long months to feel like myself again.

That experience lit a fire in me.

I threw myself into learning everything I could about menopause — the science, the symptoms. And the more I learned, the more I knew I had to help other women who feel lost, dismissed, and overwhelmed.

Today, as a menopause lifestyle coach, I guide women through one of life’s most challenging — and potentially empowering — transitions. My mission is simple: no woman should have to go through menopause alone, confused, or without support. You deserve to feel informed, confident, and cared for — and I’m here to help make that happen

Hi, I’m Jen — 46, based in Bristol, and still trying to figure out how I ended up with grown-up kids and grandkids, I live with my lovely (and very patient) husband, have two fabulous daughters, a brilliant stepdaughter, and two adorable grandchildren. Life is busy, full, and a little bit mad — but through it all, I’ve found a real passion for providing menopause advice to women who are struggling, just like I once was.

Just to be clear… What do I do?

I’m not a doctor, a therapist, or a medically qualified menopause specialist — and I won’t pretend to be. 


I am  here — not as an expert with a white coat, but as your straight-talking, menopause-savvy friend who gets it. 

You deserve support, truth, humour, and someone in your corner. That’s what I’m here for.
